How it works
Saperta connects to your OpenAI Ads account through OpenAI's official Advertiser API, using a key you create. Here is the whole path, step by step.
Get started
Create a Saperta account
Open app.saperta.com or the iPhone app and sign up with your email (you'll get a confirmation link) or with Sign in with Apple.
Create an Advertiser API key
In OpenAI Ads Manager (ads.openai.com), open Settings and create an Advertiser API key. Keys from platform.openai.com won't work; it must be an Ads key.
Connect the account
Paste the key on Saperta's Connect screen, or scan it as a QR code from your computer screen. Saperta checks it with OpenAI and shows the account's name, currency and timezone.
Set schedules and rules
Open a campaign and tap Schedule & recommendations, or add a rule under Control. Tap Apply; from then on Saperta's server takes care of it.
What happens in the background
Saperta's server checks every schedule once a minute and every rule every 10 minutes. When a schedule says a campaign should run or pause, the server asks OpenAI to activate or pause it, and logs the change. This works while your phone is off.
Each change appears in the activity feed. Manual changes always win: if you pause or resume a campaign yourself, its schedule waits 30 minutes and rules release it.
Where the numbers come from
All figures come from OpenAI's Advertiser API, in your ad account's timezone. Clicks and impressions arrive within about an hour; spend is reported once billed, usually the next day. Conversions and ROAS are available per day. Saperta labels estimates and explains every delay on its data page.
How your key and data are handled
- The API key is stored encrypted on Saperta's server in Frankfurt, Germany, never logged and never displayed.
- It is used only for the actions you take or set up, and never for anyone else.
- Disconnect the account or delete your login and the key is deleted immediately; you can also revoke it in Ads Manager.
- Saperta has no tracking and no advertising SDKs. Emails are sent with Resend; hosting is on AWS in the EU.
