How to find your OpenAI Ads API key

Create an Advertiser API key in OpenAI Ads Manager: sign in at ads.openai.com, open Settings and create a key there. Keys from the OpenAI developer platform (platform.openai.com) are a different kind of key and don't work with the Ads API.

Step by step

• Sign in to OpenAI Ads Manager at ads.openai.com.
• Open Settings and go to the API keys section.
• Create a new Advertiser API key and copy it. Treat it like a password.
• In Saperta, paste it on the Connect screen, or show it as a QR code on your computer and scan it with your iPhone.

Keep the key safe

• Only give the key to tools you trust, and only for ad accounts you are allowed to manage.
• Check OpenAI's Advertising Terms; they include rules on sharing API keys.
• If a key may have been exposed, delete it in Ads Manager and create a new one.
• In Saperta, disconnecting the account deletes the stored key immediately.
